Topic: BDS playing London in February 2010

Just heard that Davy will be playing the 100 club in London on the 9/2/2010. Lets hope they play more uk dates, unlike the last time!

Edited to correct date - Thanks Dave

Yes, your mutual forum friend is here making a rare appearance. big_smile

As you can see the 100 Club date on 9th February 2010 is now definite. I had also hoped to tell you about several other UK dates in February, but sadly, for the time being they’re not going to happen and London will be the only UK show.

If this situation changes and the dates are reinstated or rescheduled, you’ll be the first to know – after me, of course. hmm

In the meanwhile, if you can get to the 100 Club gig, you won’t be disappointed. Management would like to see a full house, so spread the word. It’s going to be unmissable. wink

That's great guys, glad to see Davy and Crew will be making another trip over the Big Pond! smile Got one more Davy and BDS show this year barring any very bad weather. A renowned and very smart younger member of our forum and I will be making the long trek via automobile from the great State of Wisconsin out to Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to see Davy Knowles and Back Door Slam's New Years Eve show. Show number six this year promises to be a wing dinger of a great time! wink

Seems to me that Davy's management is US b(i)ased. I find it difficult to justify the time and cost of travelling down to London, hotel and all that at that time of year. Looks like we / he will be put on a back burner for the time being. Seems odd just one show, unless it's tied in with some promo deal. Sadly beginning to lose patience over here.

I think you're right on the first count, Geoff and on the second I can understand your disappointment. Even if you are losing patience don't lose faith in Davy. I think it's highly likely that Davy will appear at a venue a lot closer to you than London sometime in 2010.

Yes, it's on the backburner now for me too, he had been due to play York which was more manageable. The funds would be better spent on local gigs for artists willing to tour near us.

Alright, alright.....just because I saw the Guys 6 times last year doesn't mean we're hording them in the States. wink Besides, that fellow by the name of Joe cool seems to spend a lot of time over in the UK. Actually, I'm a bit surprised he hasn't bought a home there yet! Next time I get to see Joe in Wisconsin, I'll probably be an old man yikes ............wait a minute, I guess I'm a little late with that statement. lol

I also hope so Eldo, but I don't think it will be as long as this set list:

22 songs worth was quite a show and they were very tired when it ended after 01:30 AM. wink
