Topic: What kind of Tea do you like?

I've always wanted to ask this question here because I'm sure, we have many tea lovers on this forum. For myself, my normal weekday tea is the old standard Lipton regular tea. I must admit, I'm not a big fan of herbal teas.

I came across a new tea recently that is quite good. It's made by Stash Tea and it's called "Chai Spice Black Tea". It has blended black tea, ginger root, cinnamon, clove oil, allspice, clove, nutmeg and cardamom oil in it. Not for the faint of heart, but I must say a very good tea. wink

Anyone else?

PG tips is good!! Ceylon is the best IMHO, I do like to make proper Indian tea with spices from time time too. I am not into premixed tea, preffer to my own its much much better. Spices are not designed to keep and need to be used fresh.

When I drink tea it's mostly green (maybe green w/ gingseng) straight up. Nothing added. When chasing off a virus then it gets hit with honey and Scotch whisky. tongue

It´s tea they drink usually in India and Nepal. It´s my favorite if freshly made and served in the right way: from a pot with a long spout in a big bow right into the cup. A very special tea they make in Tibet: tea with VERY old yak butter. It tastes very strange if you expect tea, it´s much better if you expect bouillon. Normally I have Nepalese tea for breakfast and sometimes green tea with Chinese or Japanese food.

No Tom, even though it does have Vodka in it which is the only hard liquor I drink. Well, not totally true, I have been known to have a Jägermeister on occasion, but that's strickly for medicinal purposes only. wink

This is off topic, but last year we picked up one of those Kuerig coffee machines that brews single cups of coffee. It has completely ruined me for any other coffee.

There are a number of brands/types of coffee that you can order for it, and it takes a few sample before you settle in on a favorite.  We use filtered water from one of those Brita pitchers for brewing and I like mine on the strong setting.

But anyway, once you've found your preferred setting and make of coffee it's all over. Seriously. I have yet to find anything that compares, and that includes espresso stands. It's awesome.

Any Japanese Green Tea will do the job for me... Most awesome drink ever...
White tea is also very nice when  not artificially flavored...

Sorry guys, Monsoon Malabar dark roast freshly ground coffee beans is what keeps me alive, but it doesn't stop me sleeping even on my usual 2 and a half to 3 pints a day. (with milk and sugar I hasten to add)

Mind you that is possibly down to the 14 pain killers a day I take as well.
