Re: New Marshall JMD-1

I'd have to play one first, but I'm not sure about this offering from Marshall.  The cool thing about the legendary JMP-1 preamp was that you could convienently place it in a single rack space for great tone.  So this is like an updated JMP-1 with a Marshall EL34 power section in a head/combo format?  Not the worst idea in the world but probably not for me.  C'MON MARSHALL QUIT MESSING AROUND AND REISSUE THE JUBILEE!!!!!

Re: New Marshall JMD-1

Another big amp name JUMPS on the bandwagon. roll
Now who are they competing with? Vox Valvetronix?
Hughes and Kettner? Line 6? I just don't get it.

Marshall should just worry about themselves instead of trying to compete with others.

I get it, they want to make money. Hopefully the thing sounds good. neutral

Re: New Marshall JMD-1

I've got to say, I was worried when I heard about it, but listening to it (albeit through computer speakers) it does sound alright. I wouldn't buy one, but it's not the worst amp they've come out with. The idea behind it is pretty good.

Re: New Marshall JMD-1

Sounds pretty good to me...  Of course it's a jack of all trades kinda amp, but with Marshall lineage only obviously, so quite a cool unit all in all... I'm sure it's made overseas and shouldn't be all too expensive.  Quite a few of the amp choices seem odd to me though... As long as THE tone is in there... Oh crap.. It's actually in your fingers...
