Hey guys any thoughts on the Egnator rebel 30 combo ? I played one the other night and for $900 it sounded really good

Yeah
         I tried out one of these last week and loved the sound
         although I think it was the 20w version which may be too small for gigs but 30w should be ok

I'd hold off on pulling the trigger for now. I'm totally jazzed on Jet City Amplification and although their 20 watt rig might not be enough for your needs, they say they have a 50 watt 2 channel combo coming out in March. No details on price but I think it would be competitive with the Egnator. And all Jet City amps (except for the Pico) are designed by Mike Soldano.
