Topic: Heritage Guitars

Hey All-

Went to see the Trans-Siberian Orchestra lastnight, and it was a wonderful show. Chris Caffery and Alex Skolnick tore it up all night. I feel like Alex has a bit more finesse than Chris, although he can shred with the best of them. Anywho, I was just wondering if anyone knows what amp(s) Alex Skolnick uses when he is with TSO. His tone was to die for lastnight. Also, he played Heritage guitars, exclusively. The extent of my knowledge on Heritage, is that they are made in the old Kalamazoo Gibson plant, by a lot of the old gibson builders. And, that there is no assembly line, that they are all hand made. Anyone know anything else about them? Are they as good/better than a gibson?

Thanks,
Logan

Re: Heritage Guitars

I prefer them to Gibsons.

Check out their "335" Styled guitars, too!

Yeah, better, and usually less expensive.

Re: Heritage Guitars

My favorite of all the guitars my guitar player owns, is His Heritage.  God what a blues tone.

Re: Heritage Guitars

Gibson actually owned a bunch of plants in Kalamazoo. Heritage occupies one of them.
But yeah, they are made by former Gibson employees that a) didn't want to move to Nashville and b) wanted to continue making guitars.

Every one I've played I liked. Although they tend to make more hollowbody electrics than solidbody electrics. Their website looks pretty outdated too.
