Yes, that is a problem, 'cause news don't always tell the real side of things...especially in the USA (I'm talking about Serbia) because some countries have a really strong lobby in USA...the recent situation about Kosovo is one of examples...Albanians want to declare independence of Kosovo, but it is one of oldest Serbian teritories, 1/3 of Sebian people died defending Kosovo centuries ago,and defending a whole central Europe from Turks,Albanians came on Kosovo 100years ago running away from their own country...
I don't know why I'm talking this....but you know, it just doesn't feel right when your country and people is synonym for war etc. smile Nobody talks about Serbia, as one of greatest sport countries, in 80s we had greatest rock scene after UK in Europe, Serbia won first battles in WWI, and turned the war, these battles our learned on all military schools as one of greatest tactics in military history, Serbia was an empire in 14th century, after Byzyntine empire, Tesla, Mileva Einstein, Pupin...but everyone remembers just recent wars on Balkan peninsula,and in war it isn't fault of just one side smile

Hi,

Im from King's Lynn in the UK. It's a port town on the East Coast of England, and was home to Captain Vancouver (who has something to do with the city of the same name in Canada) and Admiral Nelson (battle of Trafalgar). It's also home to the largest free music festival in Europe and there's probably lots of other stuff that I don't know about as I've only lived here for about 6 years lol

I'm from Birmingham, Britains second city.
Although it has a bad reputation from days gone by for street crime, pollution and generally being a rather unattractive city, Brum (as it's affectionatly known locally) has improved dramaticly in the last decade, I barely ever go into the city centre without a new high rise building having sprung up from nowere, The space age looking Bullring shopping centre i suppose is the city crown jewel now, however the city is spending billions on redeveloping public transport and building britains first 'Super' hospital in the Edgbaston area.
There are still some pretty bad areas of the city which need re-developing proberly far more then the city centre, however the council has already bulldozed some of the old crime riddled estates and started again from scratch with modern buildings and plenty of greenery, turning them into virtually middle class areas.
All in all Birmingham is a good city to live in, i would recommend it to most people.

Three generations back my family originated from Appin, West coast of Scotland. Before that my ancestors came over with the Norman Conquest, 1066.

Beautiful idylic location, with lots of history dating back to Druid times, lots of smaller stonehenge typ stone circles to be seen, 2 magnificent castles, one which is still in its full glory, truly a great sight to be seen if you are ever there, Castle Rushen in Castletown. Loads of wonderful nature sights as well.  THere are a big roup of Basking Sharks that migrate to the islands waters every year, big scary mofos, but they are harmless varietys smile THink sharks with no teeth, more like whales to me. A slight breeze on a day turns into a gale on the peninsular where the course is, and becomes one of the very toughest places I have ever played, your striaght or you are hitting another ball.

I could talk all day about the place, other notables, Largest working Water Wheel in the world, one of the oldest governments in the world(Mellenium celebration of the government was held in 1979), home of the Manx Cat . Still running Steam Operated trains, they are spectacular machines to see up close and firing on all cylinders, a marvel of early 1900's engineering. Did I mention the blues scene, which has catipulted Davy Knowles into the statosphere. Always lots of live music to be found around the place. Not forgetting the TT Races, if you like Motorbikes, then you would love the TT. ANy biker guy should make the pilgrimage for the 2 week festival, a celebration of bikes, coupled with the craziest riders in the world who brave the 40 miles road course. THese guys got balls like Water Melons, that or rocks in their heads. For me this is THE NO. 1 Motorbike race in the world.

I love my home, and I am probably going to move home next year, as it will be a great place for my kids to grow up. When davy did the live stream gig, Roll Away floored me, shed the odd tear, never really listened properly to the lyrics, but that night the song pierced me to my core, something that has never happened to me before.

I live in Gibraltar now, very very small, like a mini Isle of Man

Great to hear a little about peoples homes, great ideas for holidays, the world is a wonderful place smile

Hi,
I have lived in South East London for forty years and love being a fifteen minute train ride from the centre of London.  First heard Joe at one of Pete Feenstra's blues clubs in Tooting and able to get to his other venues within 30 mins in the car /train.  Born on Isle of Wight, brought up in Bournemouth, the other bit is from the Rhondda Valley, South Wales.
