Topic: The Swine flu

Paranoid??....I certainly am, I wash my hands and face constantly....keep hand sanitizers near me at all times (remember my RAH buddies?)....here in Sacramento there is a shortage of the vaccination, people are flat out lying to get the shot...I tried 3 times at the Kaiser Medical facility down the street to get mine and was turned away for not meeting certain risk factors...thank goodness my wife Debbie was given one, chemo patients have an weaked immune system so she qualified.....I know many that wont even go near a flu shot for the fear of getting sick from it.....anyhow.....I read someones face book today and they are nursing some virus, 'Nyquil" didnt work so I hope he gets better real soon, we need him healthy....

"Keep the pen mam, I have plenty"....( a coughing customer without covering up like a vampire, remember what they taught us when we were kids?)

Actually, my sister who is also a susceptible weakened person got a virus proof mask when she flew back to Florida for Tday. Airplanes are disease tubes. I always dose up on Airborne and vitamins before flying.  It seems to work. I am a frequent business traveler and have gotten ill many times from flying. I'm no hypochondriac, but better safe than sick.

We qualify for it but after researching we have not had it. Its been rushed through (I understand why) the company providing are getting governments to sign disclaimers for suing them due to this. We have had the regular flu shot. There was documentary on it recently. lt's of bad reaction to it and even some deaths. As with anything like this its a bloody nighmare when you have serious illness in the family sad

In the news I heard because of the swine flew there are LESS deaths caused by flu because the swine flu blocks other flews which normally cause more deaths than swine flew.

And I think I had the swine flew - it was the ridiculousest illness I had for years (at least in Germany there's nothing to fear, maybe in countrys without medical supply. Here in Germany the docs don't even take a blood check to check for swine flew, because when they know the result a few days later, you're already healthy again.

feel sorry for those with "underlying health problems" who have suffered seriously but think that there is one hell of a lot of hype and bull about it, - we think we have had it already, - it was just a flu thing where we felt bad for a few days, leaving us with cold symptoms for a week or so.

People forget that each year Flu kills people, - or people who are weakened by other health issues catch flu and don't make it.

Who are "they" Rick ? .... the so called "experts" ? The so called experts, can't agree on anything! I don't believe anything "experts" have to tell us!

Those of us 'entitled' to receive the vaccine over here (in my case, being 60+,) got two shots. After consulting my medical witch-doctor, I decided to have them, even though I had already had the 'normal' flu shot.

So far, I feel fine! big_smile

Yes, this flu also affected mainly young people here, certainly as far as the fatalities go. I suggest y'all go out and get yourselves the commemorative t-shirt (which I saw someone wearing in the US in August!) - it says:

"I survived swine-flu 2009" wink
