Re: Southampton Guildhall show

Just finished listening to this show (I love torrents) - what an amazing show.  Heartaches were Nickels was amazing - I have heard this both electric and acoustic live but this version just blew me away.  The solo was from another world.  Amazing how Joe takes an old song and puts a new spin on it and makes it better!  Just Got Paid wasn't too shabby either!  Michael had a pretty good birthday party.  Thank you Cuztard Pi (your Mr Kyp's recording is still one of my all-time favorites - love that Blue Tea!)

Congrats, BigJeff...but be forewarned, burn & delete immediately or prepare to get a VERY large hard drive.  I was able to fill up a 250 GB drive, bought a 250 external to move it all too, moved it and refilled the internal drive again.  You just need to be disciplined or it gets out of hand.

You won't have this problem if you only download Joe, but I was also downloading Gov't Mule shows (of which there are many) and Grace Potter & the Nocturnals (also taper-friendly and has an active taping fanbase) so it filled up quick.

Not suprisingly, a torrent of one of Joe's shows at Sculler's in Boston was what got me started, and I think I had dial-up then....how excruciating but I finally got the show.

Also, thanks to CuztardPi for taping & sharing with the masses.....I really love the Mr Kyps show from 2005 or so.

Enjoy!

BJJ joins torrent-world! Far out! cool

Jeff, remember to delete BOTH sets of files after converting and burning, otherwise your disc will fill up even quicker than Carl's! big_smile

AH:  Both Nero and the free burning program I use will burn direct from FLAC to CD Audio without a conversion step, and I can listen to the FLAC files with WinAmp and a plugin, so I get to skip that step....Ask here or by email if you want/need more info.
