Wonderful videos!

Like to see Joe answer those youtube wasters who like to criticise everyone including small children. roll They probably end up in Vai or Tony McAlpine forums...ahem.

Go get em Joe! Imagine how much money you've had people spend from being inspired by your playing and setup! I know I always have empty pockets... tongue

Thanks Patty.

I looked up the acoustic - had one of those faint moments (I have many of them in the gear section) when I saw the price! Yarrrr...

Re: Rig Rundown with Joe Bonamassa

yea i looked at those, some of the L- Series is pretty affordable though... and as far as i know they are all handmade...

I'm a big, big fan of Yamaha acoustics - most feel great to play - I have a middle range 12-string and its just a nice guitar to play with a full sound - well made.
I shall look into the £400-600 price range...if they are handmade!

Dave-

This is what yamaha has to say about their L-Series

"Where art and craftsmanship become one. Handcrafted from the finest materials by a select group of master craftsmen, each instrument is a work of art"

Thanks, Logan - I'll look into them properly next week. I'll sell my Fender acoustic as it's okay (much better with Elixr's wink), but I can see the L-series is more the step up, just not over the edge...
I'm more of an electric player, but I would like a fairly good acoustic 6 and 12.

Re: Rig Rundown with Joe Bonamassa

What's up everyone?  I have been lurking around the forum for quite some time and decided it was about time to throw up a post.  The "Joe's Gear" sections is very cool and couldn't be more helpful - the man himself is humble enough to entertain questions and comments.

These new PG videos are great.  Joe has once again changed his rig.  He always seems to have the most amazing tone, no matter how it is set up.  It just goes to show you, it's all in the fingers!

Does anyone have a current pic of the pedalboard?  I am curious to see where he puts the phaser.  I always have problems using my MXR Phase 90 (too much noise and the phasing seems overly powerful).

Also, has anyone seen him using the Marshall Vintage Modern live?  According to the December 2009 Marshall Newsletter, he has added it to Rig #3.  http://marshallamp.us/newsletter/dec200 … massa.html  I am guessing that is his alternate rig (1 and 2 being the main US and Europe rigs?).  Does anyone know what Rig #3 consists off?  Being a VM player myself, I would love to know whether how he utilizes its sweet tone (settings anyone?).

Rock on!!!

Re: Rig Rundown with Joe Bonamassa

Re: Rig Rundown with Joe Bonamassa

Sounded like the Supa-Trem is on at all times (heard best when he played clean). Anybody know if this is the case?

Re: Rig Rundown with Joe Bonamassa

By the way, is the SupeTrem active on only one amp?
(we know there are always 2 amps active).
