Topic: Why doesn`t Joe use Diezel amps

Joe has the most fabulous guitar sound i came across so the question isn`t meant that serious. Nevertheless i play a Marshall JVM, Peavey JSX and a Diezel Einstein and have played most amps available through the years. Cranked my amps lately and found out that the Diezel is a monster at higher volumes and blows my other amps out of the water. Note: I really love both the Peavey and the JVM.

The Einstein is an extremely versatile amp too which should fit Joe quite well!?!

No doubt that the Diezels kick major ****, but from the clips that I've heard they are a little bright and aggressive to my ears.  Joe's tone is anything but bright and mid scooped which is what most people are aiming for with those amps.  They ARE demonic sounding and rock harder than just about anything out there.  Funny thing is I'm sure Joe could make one work just fine in his rig though!

That's the thing, they do sound good for certain stuff but they're far from Joe's tone. But, as stratpaulguy said, Joe could make it work. Lift the mids with the dumble, back off the gain and treble on that thing, might sound good actually big_smile

many great guitarist use them and a bevy of other manufactures.. I am happy with my current set up..   Also I feel the uber 3 channel is wasted on me.. I only use one tone per amp..  so it would be like taking a bugatti veyron (thanks Jeff) to the Pret-manager for sushi..  and in USA speak..  taking a corvette to the 7 eleven for a good dinner with your date.  Both not suited for the skill level at hand..
Best. All I am saying is that I am not really that type of player.  I use amp overdrive not preamp..
