Topic: Clapton's 2010 Tour

He'll play 4 gigs with Jeff Beck in NY, Toronto and Montreal from Feb 18 to Feb 22. Then a US tour 'til March 13, with Roger Daltrey. And finally, he'll be in Europe with Steve Winwood from May 18 to June 13.

I don't think tickets are available yet. More info: http://www.ericclapton.com/tour

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

Tickets for the German shows with Winwood are available for pre-reservation. 98 Euros though, ouch. Might have to miss that one after seeing him in 2008 (and at the RAH....) .... Mr. C is too expensive for College students. wink

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

Too expensive for me too I'm afraid. After having shelled out lots of clams earlier this year to be part of an 11,000 sell out gig and been frankly disappointed, I think I'll pass in future.

The price isn't the major issue for me (I'm not saying it's cheap), the main problem is that I have exams to take at this period sad

Anyone know what happened to the London Gig of Eric an Steve? Can't find it anywhere on LiveNation only Sweden and Holland.

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

This is huge for me. Outside of Stevie and Joe, Eric is the biggest to me. I love love love other guys like ZZ Top and KWS and Los Lonely Boys, but honestly it's those three that I would say have had the most effect on me as a person and as a musician. I can't see Stevie, I've seen Joe (and hopefully many more in the future), but I've never been blessed with seeing Eric Clapton. So you can bet your arse that 100 bucks to see him (with Daltrey!) is more than worth for me.

You will not be disappointed. I've seen him twice and he just blows me away. He was the one that got me playing guitar so it was special for me to see him, and it looks like you feel the same way!

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

I've seen Eric three times and all have been amazing.  Not only does he still consistently sing and play his heart out, but he always has bands that feature great sidemen.  Along with seeing Eric, I got to see great musicians in his band like Steve Gadd, Nathan East, Steve Jordan, Willie Weeks, Doyle Bramhall II, Billy Preston, Abe Laboriel Jr., Derek Trucks.

I hope you are not disappointed when you do see him.

One song at the RAH for me is all I will ever need! Just me but I would rather spend the money on less known acts. smile

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

I just rang the LG Arena in Birmingham and they say tickets are going on sale on Saturday. They couldn't give me ticket prices though. I'll decide whether to go or not when I see the prices. I bet they're steep roll

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

That's confusing. The LG Arena website now says :

Tickets priced £50, £60 and £75 go on general sale at 9am on Monday 14 December

So maybe Saturday is some sort of pre-sale. Anyway the tickets aren't near the £100 mark as I'd feared so I'm tempted.

Go for it,,, i saw him in 2008 in glasgow and he was amazing, he had doyle bramhall  and derek trucks in his band and the support was robert cray, you cant get better than that and all for £50

Re: Clapton's 2010 Tour

Apparently this is going to be stripped down. Eric's the only guitar player on this tour. Steve Gadd and Willie Weeks are the rhythm section, and Chris Stainton and some other guy on keyboards. Sweetness.
