Joe said on Wednesday before the Norwich concert, that the band were learning this Who cover for the rest of the shows on the tour. This came after Joe's 'Who Special' on Planet Rock on Tuesday night here in the UK. I don't know if it managed to make it into the set list for the Leeds show (I think this was the plan at least) but I knew it was coming. Of course I didn't say anything in case it spoiled the surprise. Would have loved to have heard it myself though. Still, there's always next time........... Unless of course it's on the new album?

I'm afraid we didn't get the Who song at Leeds but he should have played it there shouldn't he !!, but we did get 'Quarryman' which I really like ",
never mind, he's  playing it now and I hope it sounds great to those that are hearing it !

Sorry to hear the crowd was a little small in Belfast, maybe Joe should have done another Scottish gig instead, he could have sold out that one three times!

the crowd was about 1100 so it wasnt like we played to 200..  I had a blast in belfast.

Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd add some of my thoughts on the show, as you would expect I had a great time and thought the show just flew by.

I was sitting in the centre of the front row, with my family and my Aunt, Uncle and 2 cousins (aged 8 and 11). Out of coincidence, one of my neighbours who I had told should get a ticket, was sitting on my other side. I also bumped into my old physics teacher who is big into his guitars and music, it's quite a small world really lol.

Joe came on stage about 8:45 and despite the waterfront being about half full, gave a great performance. After each song I could hear a guy sitting in the row behind me say something like "wow" or "Absolutely fantastic" each time. The crowd certainly seemed to enjoy it, quiet during quiet parts an cheering during the noisy parts. A guy did run up and get a high five off Joe during Just Got Paid thogh, not sure what that was about.

One of the highlights for me was Blues Deluxe, I had hought it was taken off the set list and was a tad disappointed so I was most pleased when i heard that opening lick. Young Man's Blues sounded awesome and I also loved Just Got Paid (who wouldnt?).

All in all, it was a geat show and everyone seemed to enjoy it. My cousins also got a set list, a drum stick (cheers Bogie) and some picks(cheers Dave) so hopefully we will have a couple more fans of Joe and blues in general.

Oh, I also got my JBLP signed (cheers Joe!) but i'll mention that in General topics, I need to get pics from my brother.

I've been a fan of Joe's for a while now, but this was my first time seeing him - and I wasn't disappointed.  How does he do it? Genius is a word that's used to much these days, but not in Joe's case - he is a guitar genius.

One of the many highlights of the show was Further On Up The Road, with Sandi Thom on vocals.  It's amazing how such a powerful blues voice can come from such a small person!  I was lucky enough to meet her during the interval while she was signing her new CD.

Another highlight was being able to watch Joe's guitar tech on the side of the stage, getting the next guitar ready.

Every song in the set was perfectly chosen and gave a good insight into Joe’s music and what he is capable of.  I was speaking to a friend who was there as a substitute for someone that pulled out.  He wasn't that aware of Joe before, but bought his entire back catalogue yesterday.

The only thing that niggled me a bit was that the T-Shirts are sized small (eg XL equates to a normal L / XXL to XL) and there was no mention of this while buying so I spent £50 (2Ts) and they don't fit - oh well (could be the excuse I need to loose a stone or two.)

I hope Joe can fit us in on future tours.  It was an absolute pleasure to watch a new master of the blues on the same stage that I've seen BB King, John Mayall, Gary Moore, Paul Jones, Blind Boys of Alabama, Bonnie Raitt, Chicken Shack, Mick Taylor and Charlie Musslewhite on.:cool::cool::cool:

What a concert - 3rd row centre - couldn't have been better!:cool:

Even better we were in the Garrick Bar afterwards and guess who walks in Sandi Thom with her band and then Joe
I gave in and had to get my photo with him and he signed my ticket - true gent...we left him alone to enjoy his pint of the black stuff until his tour bus came along to take him to Dublin.

What a night!!!!!
