Topic: Special request of 14 year old boy from holland

Dear Joe,

I am 14 years old and I am your biggest fan. When I heard the song, Blues Deluxe, my life changed.. I saw earlier this year you play the 26th of november at the royall carre theather in amesterdam. My biggest dream is to meet you in person and/or to play a song together. Here is are few videos of myself:

A beautiful tone indeed, Leif. Please see the big Carre topic and come along to the 'Magere Brug'  before the show. I'm sure that it can be arranged for you to meet Joe either before or after, but I wouldn't count on being able to play with him at the Carre. wink

Haaa!! that was awesome.  Leif we will  sort you out so you can come down for soundcheck..  Honestly with playing like that you could probably stand in for me that night!!  Great sound and phrasing. Sounding great!!

Have fun Leif. I know you asked me  to join in at the BITS Joe did in Winterswijk last december but I had to say no because of schoolrules I don't make.
The BITS  was only for pupils from our school.
Great it works out this way and you meet your idol.
Maybe we meet and have a talk before or after the show.

Dear Joe,

It is so awesome you awnser my mesage! I am crying of happines! How late do I have to come there in the carre theater? Do I need to take my own amp with me or is there another amp? my parents didn't have the possibilty to get tickets because it was sold-out.. So how do I get in??

Leif, this is your greatest wish you've ever had becoming true. You were talking about that wish for so very long time now and now Joe replies to you. And yes, you are his biggest fan!You're always talking about Joe when we meet each others, in superlatives, that's for sure.
And for Joe: You're a man with a great heart! Just when your own dream became true when you had got a chance to play on stage with the great BB King you're now making another boys dream become reality. You have the bluesheart on the right place man! cool

Hey Fons, you are right.  Joe Bonamassa has a great heart.  He's had it broken enough to know that to keep it healthy, he has to keep it active...and he does...Just read on Twitter he GAVE a guitar away to a gal who enjoyed him enough to get there early and ROCK ON the entire show..and when the guitar did NOT rock on, mid song...he gave it away to her!!! Yesiree, that's a true diva in action alrighty roll.  Man I thought I wouldn't catch a break at work, so I'm NOT going to be Rocking out at the Olympia mad Looks like it's up to my friend Andre & his Dear & Lovely wife Corine and others to have my fun.  Please do!

I'm sure that y'all will be glad to hear that Leif's encounter with Joe and his guitars left both parties with gobs smacked! cool

Eva has some pictures, and Leif's parents have some (by all accounts phenomenal,) film of the occasion. Let's hope that we get to see them very soon.

I had the pleasure of meeting Leif and his parents. He is a delightful lad and they must be very proud indeed!
