That's funny. I am a fan of tribute bands when the bands aren't together anymore. Tyler is a big part of Aerosmith, I think some of their fans wouldn't go see them w/o Steven. I'm thinking this is all a publicity stunt...
When my husband was a teen his first guitar instructor was a good friend of Steven Tyler's dad, they bonded during World War II, where they were in the army band together. Steven's dad was a classically trained musician. Tyler's real name is Tallarico.
Can you imagine Joe de-voweling his name to sound less Italian??? Just think, Joe could have ended up Joe Bono or Joe Bon or Joe Bona to keep it simple!!!

Sometimes you get to hear of real nuggets of info on here.
Thanks Angela, thats the first i've heard about Stephen's real name. I will have to write that down on my blog.

Brack-Steven spells his name this way. The reason I can remember his real last name is one of my sister-in-laws maiden name is the same, but with one "l" not 2. Also, going back to Tyler's roots, some of our ancestors are from the same region in Italy, Calabria.
I read magazine gossip sometimes while checking out at the food store. I remember Liv Tyler thought Todd Rudgren was her dad for most of her young life, since her mom was with him for most of that time. Todd Rudgruen and I grew up in the same town and went to the same high school, he's older than me, so I never met him. (Upper Darby is the same town that the Thin Lizzy Still Dangerous was recorded, which technically is not in Philadelphia, but at the Tower Theater, Upper Darby, Pennsylvania about a mile from the border of West Philadelphia and about an hour from where our first president George Washington camped out in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania.) So, a gossip/music/history lesson for an across the pond JB fan...
I had a funny thought...who do you think has a bigger mouth, Steven Tyler or Mick Jagger??? Maybe Tyler, huh?

My real name is actually Fire-Penguin Disco Panda, but everyone calls me Greg.
And Steve Tyler has a bigger mouth. You could park a bus in there.

Thanks again Angela, first for my spelling mistake, and the extra info.
