Its not saying we think he should in most cases, just that we think it would be cool. Joe has said before about how he likes to also pick obscure ones so sometimes i mention ones that I just want to hear him do no matter how un-obscure they are but sometimes one hits me as something that I really think would be something that would fit his obscure definition and maybe even something I think would get attention of a wider fan base or something while still being a good fit for Joe.
just wanted to point out again this thread is basically for fun, most if not all of us wish Joe to compose his own songs and only cover songs he wants to but we have fun giving suggestions or talking about ones we can imagine Joe doing.

Have to agree with you Jane, I had no idea this thread (I 1st posted back in 2006) would have this kind of response, and still be active today! We all have our old favorites we would like to hear Joe work his magic like only he can do, but would be impossible with all of these suggestions. It does however give Joe an idea what his wide fan base likes to hear. I personally like the Jo-originals myself, but is fun to see everyone’s oldie favorites. I feel Joe’s covers are actually a tribute to artists who he admires, and is a way of showing a very professional respect! Boy can he have these guys shaking their heads….!!!
The bottom line is Joe is going to choose and play what he feels, and as everyone can tell… no two Joe CD’s sound the same. He is very diversified, and not at all afraid to venture out into a fresh new style at will always satisfy any crowd; genre or venue. Joe is the best, and it’s kind of ironic, now there are several bands (trying) to emulating Joe’s style…. And doing Joe covers
Cheers, Peace and Love to all,
