Topic: Marshall Haze

I am sure this has a thread already but I went to my local Guitar Center to abuse some of their stuff, while I was waiting for a Vox AC15 I plugged in a 59 reissue LP into a Marshall Haze and was rather impressed. The clean is very usable and ear bleeding loud. The overdrive channel was a good marshall sound with a lot of variety.

I thought the addition of the effects was a cool idea also.  It may not be the best effect ever but I turned on the delay and once it was set it worked well.

This would not be an all the time amp for gigs and such but I thought this would be an awsome practice amp.  It is loud enough and if you have a simple set up you could just plug your guitar into an amp and go.

I have to say the Vox AC15 blew it away once the guys got it out of the box.

Re: Marshall Haze

Marshall purists claim that the Haze is no good because it's made overseas. roll

The UK made class 5 is the one that has been wowing people. here s a link of Joe playing in front of a WALL of them... cool

Ask me about my handwound Great Lakes Guitar Pickups
Since 2010, Bonamassa fans have taken advantage of my JB friend discount = my cost + shipping. cool

Re: Marshall Haze

I tend to find that purists are whiny fools that will likely never be satisfied.  The amp sounds great.

Always dodgy saying that on a gear thread.
I personally would steer well clear of the haze series. Those on board effects will not last, I'd put money on that.
Something in those amps will break.
