Topic: Keeley Pedals

I was just wondering how they are doing after that fire. I know they were supposed to have things back up and running.... I assume everything is ok? i hope so. I have a Keeley moded BD-2 and I love it. It is permanently on.

From what I've heard none of his pedals were damaged during the fire and he just needed to relocate.  Once all the insurance claims and paperwork was done they resumed business.  I think he's doing more than fine now and is making some of the best pedals available.  I'd love to have his Line 6 DL4 mod and get his compressor...maybe even get my stock BD-2 modded as well.

That's good to hear.

I would love a DL4 mod. Do you know what exactly it does? I'd hope it would help the volume-loss problem, because that's the only complaint I have with mine. And I would definitely do the BD-2 mod if I were you... it's the best pedal I've used.

Yes it's suppose to fix the volume issues that the pedal has, especially on my FAVORITE settings doh!  I hate that it's the most noticeable on some of the Tape Echoplex settings which IMO are the best sounding.  It's suppose to upgrade and modernize some of the electronics inside so the echos are cleaner and more Hi-Fi as well.  There's another guy out there that does even more mods and adds another footswitch that gives you a total of 6 presets.  I am glad I picked one up after hearing your demo.  I had been wanting to get one for a while but the previous reliability issues had kept me from it.  Well I have 3 year protection plan against any issues whatsoever only problem is if it's modded in any way bye bye protection plan! mad mad mad

good I'll check that out! Hope yours holds up. Mine has been doing well with no issues save the volume thing so this definitely sounds like the right thing to do!

Check out www.jhspedals.com as well. They do some great mods and also hand-built and custom stuff. I know that they are doing a specific DL4 mod:

The DL4 and MM4 are two of the most used pedals in the professional word yet they have a few issues. In stock form they suffer from a volume drop when their engaged as well as some clarity and noise issues on certain settings.
    We fix the volume issue, noise issue and add more clarity, focus and response to the unit as well as installing super bright white LED’s.
