Topic: Fuchs ODS settings

I know that most of you guys on here are avid Marshall users and I've noticed that Fuchs amps rearely get discussed with most of you leaning toward the Ceritone Dumble sounding amp but, if anyone out there uses a Fuchs ODS to achieve that "D" sound, what are your settings?
I've found that the more I play with the amp (2 1/2 years now) I'm still finding more tones on this thing.  In fact I just dialed in a rather convincing Marshall sound on my last record.  Sounds like AC DC smile But it does nail the Dumble tone.

Re: Fuchs ODS settings

Hey man I just noticed that nobody has responded to your thread so I'm giving it a shot here.  I don't have a Fuchs, nor have ever played one, but here are my HRM OTS settings.  I wish my amp had some 'verb on it, I hear that the Fuchs reverb is legendary.  Okay here it goes:

Volume 7
Deep-off
Mid Boost-on
Rock/Jazz- ROCK
Treble-5
Mids-7
Bass-5
Ratio-4
Level-2
Master-2
Presence-0

Re: Fuchs ODS settings

Devon Allman was playing through a fuchs at the Wanee festival last weekend. Really nice sound, kind of a clearer, marshall flavored, sound with no fuzziness to the distortion, but with lots of sustain...

Re: Fuchs ODS settings

i have a fuchs ods 100.  i use a fuchs 2x12 open back with fats-1 speakers made by eminence--it's 4 ohms at 600 watts.  i also use an avatar 2x12 with eminence g12 & v12--100 watts at 8 ohms.  depends on the room & my mood as to which cab i use.  settings are:  volume 1 o'clock    treb noon     mid 2 o'clock     bass noon    drive 2:30     drive output  between 11 o'clock to 1--depends on venue--the master can be at 3 o'clock to 3:30    accent 1:15   reverb 8 o'clock   switch in rock position   i don't add bottom or bright--i use the guitar tone control as needed--especially when i use fuzz.  i run all my effects thru the front--never have used the loop live.  i will toss in a lovepedal black kanji 9 as another drive tone--i use it on the clean channel.  i use les pauls.  especially the elitist epiphones--left them stock--they are very nice.  i favor a prs santana md for the most part now.  i may turn the accent back to 11 o'clock sometimes--but usually leave it alone & use the tone controls on the guitar.  i think the fuchs delivers.  i've stayed with eminence because people have commented on the tone i get--so that does it for me.  i've thought about the hellatones from avatar.  i don't need another cab--but you know how it goes.  i'm pretty pleased with the sounds i get.  i have vibes, trem, phase, leslie, wah, roctavious, fuzz, & the kanji for effects.  i use the fulltone 9v adapters--they perform better consistently than other adapters.  andy has been great in building & maintaining the amp.  only needed him once when a ground came loose.  other than that, the amp sings.  it was set up standard from fuchs.  andy has a great ear--& can play the guitar brilliantly.  he set it up as if he were to play it.  in fact, he does--from what i know, he plays everything before it leaves the factory.  i hate turning it off, but you have to eat & go to work.  cool
