Topic: Black Stone Cherry

A bit harder rock, but still very influenced by the blues. They can go very heavy (Lonely Train) and they can put out some good high-voltage blues-rock (Hell And High Water, Tired Of The Rain). I would call it Black Sabbath meets Lynyrd Skynyrd meets British blues meets Black Label Society. Here's their myspace page:

Re: Black Stone Cherry

nice find, sounds good if you like a little heavier music, its good old fashioned hard rock

Your rock candy baby
Your hard sweet and sticky

Re: Black Stone Cherry

Not bad! I definitely like the heavier ones: the last 2.

Re: Black Stone Cherry

They're all over the radio here in Arkansas. I saw an EP video of them, and they're just good ol' Southern boys. They've only got one cd out, called Black Stone Cherry. But they sound really good, and they sound like they have a bit more variety than most heavy bands.

Re: Black Stone Cherry

Really good album, one of the best straight forward rock albums of 2006 in my opinion. They show a lot of promise, hopefully they won't be pushed into a more modern rock direction by their label now that Warner has bought Roadrunner Records.
