Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

This is impressive.
I like this sound more than in your previous video (which was awesome too!!)
But this one sounds more raw and edgy. I really like this Marshall edge combined
with the Dumble stuff. And yes, as forementioned, very well playing again!
Congrats bro cool

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

Do you sing as well?

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

Thanks guys!  No I don't sing, thats prob. why I'm having such a hard time with getting a legit band started and going - it always starts out, but no one ever wants to sing and finding a singer isn't easy on Long Island.  I need to find my Robert Plant/Paul Rodgers guy because my singing sounds like a dying animal... pretty bad lol.  I'll keep hitting the open jams every week in hopes of finding somebody, but I might have to start venturing out to other places.

Thanks again,
Ben

PS - Eva and George, you guys are way to nice.  Either way it goes down I'm happy to know you guys and call you my friends smile .

Finding good singers is tough ... but what a loss for the music world if you didn´t find a band!! wink I´m sure it´ll work out sometime ...

If I come visiting for the Beacon Run, can I play an E-chord through your amp- set up?? lol

You have to play it!  If you come, be prepared to have a ton of fun!

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

Over the weekend I saw an on-demand show of Page and Plant performing ont he Jools Holland show.  It was taken from different times they were on the show.  One of set of clips had Page playing a 4 amp rig.  He had an AC30, what looked like a Marshall JCM800 and 2 Fender vintage heads (possibly Bassman's)...awesome tone!!!

2009 Gibson Les Paul 1958 VOS (with black plastic)
2008 Gibson Les Paul Traditional Goldtop (with the cream plastic from the 58RI)
> Marshall Bluesbreaker 2 pedal >Boss sd-1> DD3 > Vox Ac15cc1

Page is just too cool, even for himself lol smile .  I bought a JMI Tonebender MKII Ri because of him.  Wish I had Jools Holland On-Demand, oh well youtube here I come!

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

Got Mule,

You got some sick amps bro.  I would imagine if your not rich you probably trade or sell stuff to get other stuff. But I am envious of your setup.

If you have the money to buy all that stuff dont be afraid to try something other than what Joe Bonamassa's already made famous.

I went with Fender and Vox just to stay away from trying to copy his rig too much.

I lean toward the Warren Haynes model more anyway.  Two amps, use some pedals.

If you ever want to start a band out side of Long Island and you find yourself anywhere near western MD let me know.
You'll have to share some guitar leads with me though.

No, I'm not rich.  I work hard for my money and feel like if I want to spend my hard earned money on something I will, I know what I want and what I like.  But the other side to that is I'm a huge Bargain Hunter and am not afraid to walk away from  a deal if its more than I'm willing to spend, which is usually way under what it should go for - if there is a deal out there I will find it!  I've also been playing for a long time so I just didn't amass this huge collection.  I'm 21 now and started when I was 10 years old.  I also have good parents that help me manage my money so thats its always growing in the bank.  They intervene quite often lol.  Before I knew about Joe some 5 or 6 years ago, Warren was what got me into "I want to rob his licks" after my dad took me to see him when I was 13, so I had no idea where I was going with guitar until then.  So basically my 2 favorite guitar players in no order are Joe and Warren.

Ben

PS - Sounds good.  You have any good jams down in MD.  I always wanted to do a roadtrip and hook up with people and hit their local jam nights.  It would be fun.

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

We have no good jams that I know of in MD. There is a very popular club in Baltimore called the 8X10.  They are hit or miss depending on the bands that show up.  Its less of a Jam and more of an audition for bands who want to play there eventually.  Usually old washed up guys show up to play to themselves at the jams around here.

That said I still envy your rig.  Ever try a Bruno Amp.  I've been wanting to try out a Underground 30, I've heard they are heavenly.

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

Great tone. I was impressed with the sound and your playing. I love the selection of Gibsons hanging on your wall as well.

Re: 4 Amp Demo - Round 2

Thanks Tom.

That sux about having any local jams.  One of my friends has a Bruno, but his is a one-of type.  Sounded good, he used a TS808, a Budda Wah, and a Clapton Strat with the Noiseless.  He doesn't bring it out anymore, he's using a Fuchs now.
