I wish I knew Spanish, but I learned French in High School (over 20 years ago). My sister teaches French and Spanish in high school. It seems that in many U. S. high school language programs Spanish is becoming more dominant at the expense of French.
I know enough Spanish to get by. Do i find it interesting and important ?
Not on a day to day level, here in London, but if i lived and worked in a country where the language spoken was Spanish..... then YES i would!
Does that answer your question tripod ?

I never answered the first question. I think about the language of Spanish every day; I see it, hear it, read it, watch it , listen to it, sometimes speak it...I think I like it ...
Spanish spoken by Spanish people.. What's with the speech impediment/lisp?
Like Portuguese spoken by Brasilians, Spanish spoken by South American's sounds easier on my ear.

I love all languages. I work with some Nigerians that sometimes speak Yoruban around me...it scares some people.
Passed by a co-worker talking on his phone in French, English & Creole in the same conversation...love it. Hanging out with Guenter & Eva Darling at HAB, Heard some German. The world is shrinking.

For those that didn't follow what just happened. Me gusta means I like. or Yo gusto... Gusto is gusto in English or Spanish, really. Flavor, pleasure, spice, enthusiam. Rocket called me on the word game. Most amusing, really. My thumb indeed, sir. Dialects.
Wasn't there a beer commercial? "Go for the gusto!" once long ago?
