Topic: Joe in Davenport, IA 8-22-09 River Roots Live

Day 3 of the road trip! This was a crowd that knew who they were coming to see! As far as you could see down the street from the stage, it was wall-to-wall people. Joe brought it and the crowd loved it! And of course, there were many bonafans in the front row that had staked out their spot 10 hours earlier that day!

I think you really out did yourself on these; I honestly think this is some of your finest work. Hey, I even see Bill and Jamie in the front row too! Also, some awesome pictures of Joe from behind with the multi-colored lights on him. Fantastic stuff "photogal"! smile

Amazing stuff again! I love looking at your photos, you seem to capture it all. I especially like to see the faces in the audience, all the emotions as people get the Joe treatment. All very inspiring. Thanks for so much for posting.

Fantastic shots. I really like your frame composition. Just curious, what type of lens were you shooting with most of these?

I have 3 lenses that I use, 16-35mm 2.8 II L, a 50mm 1.4, and a 70-200 2.8 L .

A lot of times the lighting dictated which lens I would use, but now with Joe's new lighting rig, I can usually go with the lens that gets me the frame composition I want.

I got some really good pictures as well, I just need to figure out how to post them or put them on a photo share?

I really hope he comes back to River Roots Live 2010. I saw in another thread that Pattilovesjoe talked to someone at IPTV? about the remaining footage. I would love to see that! I'll try and dig that thread up.
