Re: Looking for a low to mid gain over drive & a boost

The hot drive and boost worked like a Charm last night, got a lot of complements from the crowd and other bands on my tone last night.

THough I am thinking of Losing the Vox, not because it does sound good, just because its a pain to hook that up and the DL4 and jump around One simple board might be a good idea.

Re: Looking for a low to mid gain over drive & a boost

What were your settings on the pedal? Mine sounds a little too shrill for my taste, especially compared to my Fulltone FDII. The boost is awesome though.
I have a Metro JTM45 with an XL 2X12 cab loaded with 2 EVM-12L's, a Les Paul, a strat, a Holy Grail Reverb, a BYOC Tremolo. I never use my DD-3, there's no effect loop in the JTM45 and the sounds seems to be coming from too far away when I use it (all dials at noon), it's a strange feeling...
I'm curious about what you set your HD&B at!
Thanks!

Re: Looking for a low to mid gain over drive & a boost

I use the HDB for mild OD  Gain was at 11 o'Clock, Wave at 1o'clock and Volume at 1 o'clock, I think the boost was at 11 o'clock as well. This seemed to work the best for what I wanted

Re: Looking for a low to mid gain over drive & a boost

Dont turn your delay on 12 o'clock if you have it in your chain.  That will sound way to crazy.  Put it more at 9 for the volume so the sound is there just not in your face. Also make it the last pedal in the chain.  I dont ever use my effects loop.  I've never had a problem with delay. Just use a wet amp and dry amp if you have two and if you have one turn down the delay a little to your taste.

Good Luck
