Short notice for YES fans - Jon Anderson is making some appearances with School of Rock.

This is the venue I'm seeing this show at.  Great venue in the Philly area-Joe was the warm-up for the Allman Brothers here before. I just got an e-mail that Dave Mason will be appearing with John Mayall.  Anyone seen John Mayall recently?

Re: School of Rock/Jon Anderson

I saw Jon Anderson and Rick Wakeman last summer doing an evening of acoustic Yes numbers. Just piano, guitar and that superb voice.....fantastic!!

Re: School of Rock/Jon Anderson

We went to this School of Rock show last week and it was really great. Jon Anderson played on about two-thirds of the songs, he was excellent and it was so good to see him after all these years.  Jon's distinctive voice still sounds the same! I was commenting on young talent in another post-the kids were the cream of the crop, all still in high school, except for one female who was only one year out and invited back to fill a void for slide guitar.  She had an unbelievable voice also, her name was I believe Sarah Zimmerman.  I don't think YES music is that easy to play, this group was remarkable!

Jon Anderson was so gracious towards these teens, it was really admirable how he got involved and was so supportive!

Re: School of Rock/Jon Anderson

Thanks for that review Angela. It sounds like a great show. I'm a Yes fan from way back when they first came on the scene. I was browsing dimeadozen and noticed this show was taped so I'm in the process of downloading it. Can't wait to give it a listen!
Regarding John Mayall, I've seen him a couple times in the past year or so. I think he's still great. His guitarist, Buddy Whittington, is very good.
