Re: Not Joe Related but are Gibson for real?

It's interesting that Gibson has removed any reference to the Hendrix Strat from their site. The backlash among all the guitar players I know was quick and severe. No one wanted a Gibson-branded Strat. I find it somewhat hypocritical on Gibson's part to be creating a S-type guitar after going to such lengths to prevent other companies from making LP-style guitars. Fender recently lost a case preventing companies from doing this, so Gibson's in the legal right, but it doesn't feel right as a guitar lover and guitar consumer.

That explains why I can't find it on the Gibson website.
I thought I'd woken up after a trip in the Tardis on April 1st !!

We must remember - as much as Fender screw things up - so do Gibson, if not more....they have produced some simply balsa-wood pieces that never need to be seen again.

Why would you waste time and money on a reverse Flying-V!?!? roll

well, fender can come out with a fender ted nugent byrdland, or a bonamassa flying v.  then fender squier can do a prs santana.  gibson should do a gibson marshall amp to go with the strat. roll roll
