Ok, I need some sensible input. I am more or less a Mule virgin. (I know, *blushes deeply*).

What are 'the' seminal Mule numbers I need to listen to, apart from Soulshine, before I experience the live event?

Hi George,
As I'm sure you've heard you never know what Gov't Mule will play on any given night so to answer your question if I were you I'd give the following a listen:

Thorazine Schuffle
Mule
Blind Man In The Dark
Beautifully Broken

There are so many more but imho Thorazine and Mule are tunes you should know. Man I sure could use a Mule fix. Enjoy the show and I'd like to hear about it what you thought of it.

Re: Gov't Mule - European dates in November

George - I know you do torrents - eTree has a wealth of Mule - just pick a couple at random and you'll be all ready for the big night.  I'll be seeing them on October 30 - can't wait.

"There's a lot of people that are in so much of a hurry to be, I guess, to be famous or that they don't want to take the time to learn to play and do all that. They'd rather just knock it down off a computer and maybe get on a game show and get famous..That's fine if that's what you want to do.

...and not to forget their killer version of "Jesus just left Chicago". Maybe it would be simpler to tell George which Mule songs are not so good.

big_smile Maybe that would be easier, Günter!

What's the consensus of opinion about what era Mule to start with? What they're doing now or older stuff? So far I like Slackjaw, Lola and Banks of the best. Less sweet on Thorazine and Beautifully broken, at least after one listen. By the way, I can't find their version of Jesus left on youtube. Anyone?

Tickets for Cologne on November 8 are on their way right now big_smile

Anyone else planning to go to Cologne?

Hallo Suzanne

I have got my Mule-ticket for Cologne and I hope to meet you there.
We have been at the same place for three times in this year because I also was at the Moulin Blues in Ospel, at Peer-Festival and in Cologne I was standing next to Andre when you were talking together.
