Topic: Jubilee upgrades?

Just wondering what you've done to your Jubs...More specifically Mercury Magnetics transformers ( I swear they are like crack, I think, never done crack but from what I hear...) upgrades.  Drakes (old) are good dont get wrong but Mercs rule.  Also any cap work, resistor swap etc.  Tubes and speakers are too subjective so let's eliminate them here

Where the hell does one get a black-backed gold top anyway?

Re: Jubilee upgrades?

Why modify this amp.  Its got everything you could really want.  Classic old school Marshall sound, with a lot of balls...  Put a good set of tubes in it, crank the snot out of it and it will sound most excellent.

Because its there.  It does sound excellent I agree but, if you don't tweak it you'll never know.  Besides Mercs have made a huge difference in every amp I have tried them in so....
