Topic: AC?DC

Anybofy know either Young or anybody on the AC/DC crew?  I would live to surprise my college boy with a backstage pass.

I don't know anyone from that pack.  Ryan (my son) plays a lot of Angus stuff on that PRS (w/P90s) I bought him.

Kinda strange?  I hope not.

Sorry Jeff, can't help you today, but nice to hear you have a head-banger in the family. I am a big fan. I saw them in the, Bon Scott days in a small club in London, called the "Marquee" superb night, my ears were still hurting the next morning!!

I think Andre was a neighbour of Angus for a while...

On the subject of Bon Scott, I'd loved to have seen him live, AC/DC were so much bluesier in those days. I recently stopped by at a plaque in his hometown of Kirriemuir (Angus, Scotland)to pay my respects.

AC/DC is amazing, with Scott or Johnson. There's just something about them that you can't help but like.

Re: AC?DC

Hi Jeff, i used to know them about 20-25 years ago met them all many times watching them 47 times in all, so that was ok then, but now you can take a chance of turning up very early show day and find someone where the trucks are loading in from the road crew and ask for a guitar signing around rehersal you might just be lucky ... or i remember Shred said when they played Oakland that a few fans he was with said after the show they were gonna go downtown to where AC/DC's hotel was and hopefully get some photo's , well Shred said that later he found out that they had a small meet & greet outside the hotel with a few fans
The guys are really down to earth and fan friendly if you can get past the security surrounding them.... Andre is worth an e mail ... he might just be able to pull some strings

Riddle me this FDOL. Is the gig being promoted by Live Nation? If so, when and where is it? This could cost you some salsa. All I can do is ask, providing Live Nation is involved.

His best bet would be what Rpic did in Oakland last Dec., loiter by the buses after the gig or ask around about where they are staying in town and beat them back to the hotel and wait for their buses to get there.

Re: AC?DC

Hi jeff,

Michael is right, I was at   Angus house last year to give him some Joe CD´s and DVD´s. I thought he would like that very much. I had very nice talk with him about Joe´s music.
About 2 months later I went back again to ask him to come with me to the RAH show from joe. Angus wasn´t at home but his very friendly wife Ellen was ) I know her from my youth but didn´t see her since then'. She was at my 20th birtday, 36 years ago!! Ellen told me that Angus never takes any invitation, privacy is privacy when he´s not working, he then is an ordinary familyman and THAT IS GREAT I think. No stardom at all.

So Jeff, sorry That I can´t help you.

P:S: I get many requests from people about asking Angus signature etc. but I never do or did. privacy!
