Topic: Phil Collins sad news...

just read on Planet Rock site http://www.planetrock.com/news-140909-3.htm that Phil Collins will never drum again...

The sad news is that he has not confirmed that he will give up singing... tongue lol

Sorry, could n't resist, never been a fan of the guys solo music, - but respect for his dedication to his music so much so that he ended up injured for it.

Re: Phil Collins sad news...

That sounds like BS to me. I always thought Phil was an excelent drummer...really hep vibe back there.
Hey Phil, duh..... maybe a doctor or some physical therapy could help. If not theres always prescription meds (just say no).
Anyways I hope its not true.

Re: Phil Collins sad news...

That's a shame. When the drums kick in in Mama (by Genesis) - it is one of my favourite "Drum Moments" of all time.

Re: Phil Collins sad news...

Oh come on, let's not forget "In The Air Tonight." Even people who think that air drumming is for losers air drum to that. lol

Re: Phil Collins sad news...

Anyone over the age of eight as the decade of the Eighties began would have to acknowledge Mr. Collins' creds.  For chrissakes.....the guy was acting on Miami Vice!

Re: Phil Collins sad news...

I am a Genesis fan, so it's hard to accept this news! Phil was/is one of the finest drummers around.
