Older readers will know that our Marianne occupies a very special place in my affections, and why... wink

So permit me the indulgence of bigging Marianne up in public, because she deserves it. She has just successfully finished a very hard year's course leading to a higher nursing qualification!

The reason I'm mentioning this at all is because I know how unhappy she was that she was not able to come to the RAH with the rest of us - she couldn't come because of the demands of her course. The pay-off now is that she's got her qualification and will be attending the Brussels and Amsterdam shows. big_smile

Congratulations, Marianne!  Nursing is not an easy job no matter what side of the pond you are on, and it seems that sacrificing parts of your personal life is also common no matter where you work as a nurse.  It does make one feel good to achieve to a higher level, be proud.  Hope we get a chance to meet someday.

Well done Marianne, we have ICU and high dependency nurses looking after Alex every day and I know how hard the qualifications are to get. It takes very special person too. See you at Carre smile

Well thank you all very much buddys for your kind words.
But i'm not their yet.
One more (final) test in a couple of weeks and than i get my piece of paper.
It was a 10 month study, so i don't worry about the last test. Already finished the other ones with high grades.
So i'm very proud of myself. But after this one not taking a study for a long time so i don't have to miss other JB gigs, was really bummed that i couldn't be at the RAH. But just one more month and than i'm done with the study.
Michael we will have that drink in brussels! I hold you on to that wink

I had heard that from Marianne sometime ago, about how much work she had because of the extra schooling she was taking. Congrats Marianne, we all missed you at the RAH, but all of that hard work will enhance your life well into the future! smile
