I honestly went on exactly at 10:30 pm according to our time. I cant be responsible for 10, 000 watches that are not in sync or bands who run over. I heard the music stop on the side stage and started the Ballad of John Henry. It was 10:30 and I went on. I then did realize that the band Back Yard Tire Fire had put in a fake ending on the song was still going on. I ve done this type of arrangement and its no fault of theirs. But I was on at that point and what can you do? Walk off ? start over? I think their open letter is misguided and full of cheap shots that I do not or will not respond to. I suggest that they think about how they are look writing something like that when my intention was to only go on ON TIME and make the festival end by 12 midnight. But why would they care about my slot or any of the myriad of factors that go on in a open air multi stage festival that has a curfew. This is the kind of thing that makes me want to find another profession frankly. Let those guys close the show next year.. Im done.

YOU GO JOE !!! I've seen 4 of your shows. 2 years ago in Rockford, Il. I was a little set back, but then I thought - you have a new band & you were working things out. Your show in Davenport was awesome. I'm 56 years old, have seen Clapton, Frampton, B.B., Buddy Guy etc. Your show in Davenport was undoubtedly the best show I have ever seen! Don't let these self proclaimed critics get you down. Keep going & keep trying new things. Your RAH DVD shows the world what you are made of. You have a stage presence that shows your proffesionalism & your devotion to your fans & your music.
The Davenport show was fantastic. Of the 4 times I've seen Joe, this was his best.His stage presence shows his devotion to his fans & his music. When he went into the Led Zepplin rip the crowd went crout of control. Keep it up Joe. You ARE the new Blues/Rock ICON !!!!!!!!

Hmmmm....I just noticed something. Joe had/has scheduled shows in Iowa, Minnesota, Illinois and Indiana all in the month of October. Then he shuffles out of the region and goes south. What was this, the old soft shoe around Wisconsin Joe?

it's only a 90 minute drive to Chi-Town. I been to Milwaukee at least 10 times to see Joe...come on down, us FIBS don't bite! Lol

Hey Bill,
You know I would be going to the Vic Theatre show, but the gold circle got sold out I think when we were on our way back from the RAH show. You know me, I've got to be up front to watch The Master play. Besides, I'm getting old and my eyesight is not as good as it used to be. And yes, I've got many good friends down in the Land of Lincoln, including one very tall fellow who loves fishing with his daughter as much as I do with mine.
Enjoy the show buddy and give us a full Joe report too!
