Topic: The Tallan Latz Band, Milwaukee Harley-Davidson Rally 9/5/09

It was very good as always, to see my little buddy and his band play and this time they were at the Milwaukee Harley-Davidson Rally on the Budweiser stage at State Fair Park. I must tell you, Tallan's playing has really taken a giant leap forward even in the short interval of time since I had last seen him. He and his band mixed up their set list, but for me the stand out song was a version of Stevie Ray Vaughn's classic, "Life Without You". With keyboard player Dave Price singing and Tallan taking over Stevie's speaking parts along with Tallan's searing guitar work, I saw many in the crowd, including me, close their eyes and just listen to the young man's tribute to the great Stevie Ray.

Unfortunately, I didn't bring my video camera with me, but I did have my still camera and was able to capture a few photos which I thought turned out pretty good.

Enjoy,

P.S. I'm not too sure about the spiked hair on a Blues player though. But that's OK Tallan, like most of us guys, is just expressing himself. wink

This question would be worth a new thread....as we are anyhow concerned with growing beards, shaving etc.. Reminds me that Harald, Joe´s man for Germany keeps on remembering me that long hairs are totally out. Only these dope-smoking old hippies....But I´m glad that our young artist insists on performing not too exactly the image of a blues player.

Agreed my friend, just as the late, great Stevie Ray Vaughn never fit any mold. He truly was one of a kind and the world sorely misses his presence.

Listen to the message that Stevie converys in this song:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rUl0g8e4yLo
