Topic: Had to smile today

Finally!
My JB LP arrived yesterday, and what a beauty!
Bought it on the net, so it was kinda exciting to find out if it is as good as I hoped, and it definitely seems like it.
9.3 lbs is a little heavier than my R8, and the sound is darker and warmer. A bit more raw, wich makes for a nice contrast between the two.
Not entirely shure about the sustain though. The R8 has Tonepro studs, RS Kit (vintage) and Tusq saddles, and theres a lot more sustain on tap than from the JB LP. Probably due to all the mods above on the R8, but I guess it's mostly due to the saddles. I'll probably have to try the same mods one by one on the JB as well, allthough this will make it less true to the original.

Anyone else with the same experience with loss of sustain from the nylon saddles?

Some pics - enjoy!

Re: Had to smile today

Mine is a little under 9 pounds. It sounds great amplified and un-amplified. The sustain is great as well. It's as good or better than my R0.
