Topic: What's next?

Hey everyone, I got some money, and I got some questions....
Currently I Have Wah and TS...i'm playing blues, and I chase some primary SRV tone, but I like also Bonamassa,Eric Johnson,Mayer,Hendrix.....so what pedal should I buy next? What would you buy? I was thinkin' about delay or fuzz or...I don't know smile What do you think?

Re: What's next?

Fuzz is good but you need to try a bunch of Fuzz pedals.  The Dunlop Fuzz Face sucks personally, but every good Stratocaster player should own a Fuzz of some kind.  Really if your a Bonamassa fan and a Eric Johnson fan you should be running multiple amps and buy you a A/B/Y switch so you can pick different amps for different tones or run both amps together.

actaully i don't have that much money smile (for multiple amps)
I got around 100-150e for some decent pedal....
and about the fuzz, I liked Fulltone '70 really much, but I thought maybe there are more imortant things, since I already have one drive pedal?
EDIT: And I'm sorry AD3Three, I accidentally pressed report instead of reply for your post!:o

Re: What's next?

Hendrix fan, I'd say get a vibe pedal of sorts. AVOID THE ROTOVIBE!!!!!!!!!!!!! but a vibe pedal or tremolo would be good.
I got a rotovibe and it broke after a couple of months, then...got it replaced, the replacement broke. Nightmare!
You can get a leslie sort of sound from a tremolo pedal, that's my plan...getting one soon.

sounds interesting...actually my friend owns Mini DejaVibe but that's just too expensive for me....can you tell me some good pedals for Leslie or UniVibe kind of sound? I thought maybe Marshall Regenarator....?

Re: What's next?

The leslie sound is more a vibrato thing, so the tremolo would be best for that. That Marshall Regenerator is interesting, I may get that myself.

Re: What's next?

What about a delay? Chorus? something to fatten the sound up maybe? equalizer pedal, crank your amp for a nice lead sound then use the equalizer to dial it back for a nice rhythm sound seen quite alot of players doing this lately... endless possiblities smile

That's how I boost for solos. EQ pedal. Works a treat, volume boost and whatever tone change you fancy really. I personally go for a mid boost, cuts through but is nice and fat sounding.

Re: What's next?

T-Rex Replica (delay) and T-Rex Viper (Vibe) are both cool pedals. I'd get the delay first.

Yer its pretty interesting, I've been watching alot of people lately and seeing how they get sounds is very interesting. EQ pedals either boosting or dialing back just seems such a logical way of getting a solo / rhythm sound, yet I never ever thought of it until I saw it sad first time I saw it I had one of them moments "wish I'd thought of that"..
