Pretty sure he was the Street Team kid I met at the great Joe Bonamassa / Robben Ford show Feb 1, 2008 at the Galaxy Theater Coach House, Santa Ana, California.

Is he from Rancho Peñasquitos?

Anyone heard of a guitarist named, David Sharman ?
Just found him on Last.fm. His style isn't Blues, more Satriani, Vai, and that's not a bad thing! Superb guitarist, strange i've never come across him before.
Anyone here got any info on this guy ?
Thanks
~ Brack ~
Never heard of David Sharman. But Brack, you should start a new thread about him. This one is about Josh Gooch. Ever hear of him? I have now, and I'd really like to get to the bottom of the question of if he is the one I've met. My brain's anti-Alzheimer's circuits are screaming for an answer.

Thanks Rocket, i might just do that. I hadn't heard of Josh Gooch, but sounds promising. Rocket, i didn't realize the thread was just for Josh Gooch. I just wanted to share who i had found!

I had some Dave Sharman cds a while back, but didn't find the material as good as Satriani's - he is clearly a great player though - a few guys jumped on the Satriani style rock instrumentals back in the 90's. I think Sharman was one of them.........another one was Richie Kotzen, his album Electric Joy, being an example.....
Yep..Josh Gooch is a playah of the first order. I'll remember the name. At 17 he's year's ahead of his peers.

Nice to see someone else knows who Dave Sharman is. As I've seen Satriani in action, i know what your saying.
Sharman needs more or better direction, but he is still damn good!~ Brack ~
He, meaning Josh Gooch, whom this thread is about from the start, won his District Finals competition for Guitar Center's King of the Blues contest! Onward to the Hollywood Regional Finals Josh on October 21. Good luck and maybe we'll see this guy at the Grand Finals playing with Joe Bonamassa on November 12!!! Good luck dude!

Josh is great, the real deal based on the videos I have watched.
Sharman? He was in Ian Gillan's band as well for a cup of coffee.
