Topic: JB LP weight?

Hi,

Just bought (waiting impatiently) no. 157 without trying. Gambling maybe, but I recon they are all great instruments... hmm
Weight is said to be 9.3 lbs. Is this heavy for JB lester?
Hope it won't be too dark sounding...
Had a 9.4 lbs R7 and that sounded dark and "dead". My R8 sounds great and weight is about 8.8.

Re: JB LP weight?

If I can thrust my digital scale (which I doubt, it always shows too much if I weight myself.. lol )
then my JBLP #140 weights 4.1 kg (9.03 lbs)

I've noticed the same, but oddly they somehow show too little when you weight the trophyfish you caught...

Re: JB LP weight?

Mine (#102) weighs in at 8 pounds 12 ounces.

I used a digital fish scale from Rapala (made in Finland I think) to weigh mine; showed 9 lbs. 2 oz.

When Joe picked it up he guessed 9 lbs. Pretty good guess!

Major Tom to ground control...
