Topic: Philadelphia, PA - 8/14/09 Amp Tone

Looks like a JVM on top, I can't pick the other one out, maybe a vintage modern. To me it's obviously straight up marshall but it sounds fantastic considering the circumstances. Any input on what the other amp is and possible tone settings?

Stop by Joe!

Thanks guys!

Re: Philadelphia, PA - 8/14/09 Amp Tone

This is some educated guessing but yes you are right the top amp is a 4 channel JVM head.  The bottom head is definately a JCM2000 DSL100.  He's running it on the "Classic" channel (clean) probably with the boost engaged.  Joe was gracious to share his DSL settings on one of my previous threads where I demo'd my JB inspired rig.  He also mentioned running a tubescreamer (TS808RI) on the DSL only.  He's probably got a DD-3 through one of the two Marshall heads and a little reverb dialed in on the amps.  He may have some chorus going too but to my ears there is no chorus on that song.  I love it when Joe gets up there and gets 95% of his expensive rig's tone on everyday amps!
