Topic: new bogner.

I see that Joe has added the Bogner to his rig, and that it has taken the spot for the Jubilee. Is this the new constant amp? I read somewhere that he was going for a darker tone.

Thanks,
Logan

Re: new bogner.

The Jubilee is still in every rig.  The Bogner is an older metal face XTC (101B maybe) that is occasionally used in place of the Catagory 5 JB100 plexi.  Those plexi circuits are notorious for being fussy, especially being played as hard as Joe plays 'em.  I wonder if the JB100's are giving him issues...regardless we all know how Joe is with his choice of amplifiers.  Changes 'em out like socks! cool

Re: new bogner.

I read from an article posted on Joe's Facebook page that he's been using a Bogner Ecstasy for about 6 months while Bogner was making him a custom amp.

Re: new bogner.

Its a 100b.  The 101's are entirely different amps.  The Classic is much closer to the original 100's, although the new 20th Anniversary models are supposed to be fantastic and very similiar to the 100's.  Wouldn't be suprised if they are tweaking out a new one for him.
