What can I say that hasn't already been said?!It was my first time seeing J.Bonamassa...Amazing!!I'm glad to see such a young talent who has been heavily influenced by all the great guitarists that I grew up with!Joe and his band kick ****!
However I was a bit  dissapointed.Joe never acknowledged the passing of Les Paul.I don't have to tell everyone about the beautiful Les Pauls that Joe uses on tour.He must have played at least 6!And never once made any mention of the man who created them!Maybe Joe didn't hear the news. But if he did,it would have been a wonderful gesture to dedicate the show to Mr.Les Paul. But thats just me.It was still a fantastic show!God bless Les Paul!!

He did dedicate a song.  He spoke it briefly at the end of the song(second to last, I believe)  You have to listen closely...

He pointed directly to the Les Paul signature on his guitar at the end of the show.

"Is it the new blues mobile or what?"                                                                                                                                                                                                     "Fix the cigarette lighter."

Re: Hampton Beach NH 08-13-09

What better tribute to Les Paul could Joe do than to bare his soul thru his playing.....

Its unbelievable that people would go to a show like that and chat!!  I can't relate to that at all why would they buy a ticket and doesn't  show much respect to the artist does it. sounds a great show though!

Re: Hampton Beach NH 08-13-09

I dedicated "Asking around for you" to Les..  Im sure nobody heard me.. I was shattered about his passing and owe him such a debt of gratitude.  Im sorry nobody heard it..  I did say it at the end of the show..

Great show Joe! The tributes to Les Paul were seen, heard & appreciated. Saw you for the 1st time in April in Lebanon NH.Nine of us traveled a few hours to see you & spent the night 4 had seen you before & 5 newbies. For the Hampton show we split up seating wise & introduced 6 more 1st timers to the experience. I liked the venue better in Lebanon & the crowd was there to see you, not the typical party beach crowd at Hampton.
Can't wait until you get back to this area & we'll keep spreading the word 'cause once people hear you they're hooked
and to see you live is just Phenomenal!

Joe:

I heard it, and got what you meant when you were pointing to the headstock.  I thought it was a nice dedication.  Any more would have probably been tough to get out without getting choked up!

Great show, I was really blown away, have been a fan but this was the first time I have seen you live.  I was right up against the stage to your left of your monitor, and it was just awesome to experience your show from a few feet away!

You did the intro solo to Sloe Gin right in front me and it really got me, tears were rolling down my face.  Loved the new stuff, especially The Great Flood!  I have always loved "Woke Up Dreaming" from the live CD, but to see you do that live was really awesome.

Loved the rotation of guitars too, your sig LP, that beautiful Sunburst one, the LP with the Bigsby, the Firebird, and man that Flying V looked great!

Thanks for the great show, can't wait for the RAH DVD, and I will try to catch another show on this tour!  Keep up the great work...

Just to chime in on this Also. Joe anyone who was paying attention got it. The song said it all, your feelings were obvious. It was a great way to end the show. I thank you as a long time fan for the music that pierces my soul on a daily basis and helps me deal with the highs and lows of living in this world. In music is faith and hope. Your friend
