Topic: Ozzy looking for new guitarist

So I heard that Ozzy and Zakk Wylde parted ways.

Ozzy said his stuff was starting to sound too much like Black Label Society. I can agree with that. I think the only reason Zakk stayed in Ozzy so long was as a personal favor, you can tell his BLS stuff was what's really driven him.

Although my favorite album of Zakk's is Book Of Shadows - his solo acoustic album. I'd kill for another album like that!

They did a song together in the 1980s called Led Clones...

Ozzy's best guitarist was his first one, Randy Rhodes - that boy could play!

Hey Tripod, hows doin' in BA?

Remember this?

"Perhaps you people want to hear more 80's metal stuff. But he's a rock-blues artist now. If that's the case, stick to that or don't listen to his music anymore."

Do you really want him to step back in time now he is a rock-blues artist? I think you were right at the time. No going back for GM. He could do it no question, but they would just be 2 old geezers trying to hang in there. Nah Ozzy should find himself a new hotshot and give their career a leg up.

Yeah, I can't see gary wanting to play that style, or indeed play with a singer who's even worse than himself... lol

Hey! thanks for asking...the city is in order... smile

i mean, they could join together and make a very interesting power-rock couple, at least TEMPORARILY.

There're many great metal guitar players out there...but only a few who can make good melodies.

Re: Ozzy looking for new guitarist

Think his management team will be looking for a new 'Young Gun', who had ever heard of Randy Rhodes , Jake E Lee or even Zakk before they took up with Ozzy ?
