I dun gone plumb speechless there Jethro!
As for bass geetars and other bada*s geetars and jammin' potential, well, old Hammer just gone and got hisself an idea.
Watch this space. On second thought, watch the other spaces too, I might fergit this one.
edit - there will be a limited jam possibility at Cathy's house.
That would be awesome, George....see my post on general topics, HAB. I'll be happy to provide as much local support as I can, as needed.
Actually, I'm just dying to jam with the Funky Dr. of Love....the YouTube footage has enthralled me.... :-)

The feeling is mutual. Is there a decent bass anywhere up there?
...that I am allowed to use? I mean...

Hey BJJ..If the weather is a beast, there are cheap tickets from Fla. to BWI. We can come get you....Just don't come Sat a.m. You'd be on your own then. lol Cathy
Yes Ian, the servicing of those Italian beauties is kinda, well, expensive I think is the word! Nice Beema though!
a common misconception about Ducati is that they are expensive to service, - well ok not cheap but something like a Honda VFR would probably cost a lot more, and with a Duc if you know where to go and ask them to do specific work then the bills can be kept within a reasonable figure! Not always though Geoff, the labour charge just to strip the Multistrada to get to service it was daft.
And an interesting fact is that out all of my Ducati's they required less warranty work than the BMW... - and Ducati UK and dealers are a lot easier to deal with than BMW. - The main reason I sold the last Ducati (Multistrada) over my BMW was that it was more of a luxury sports bike, - whereas the GS gets used to get me into central London parking it up in bays where noobs with scooters will scrape your paint off.
Some of my bike pictures up here including some old 1980's ones! FZR, 1100 Katana, GPz1100 and the wife's cousin on my Multistrada..

Any body coming to Daytona for Biketoberfest that wants a little local "finesse" finding a room, just email me.
I'll do my best to help. Better do it soon, though. I might be grumpy 5 minutes from now.

I usually come down for the Turkey Rod Run but I don't think I can make it this year.
Biketoberfest is a blast though. If you don't have rooms already reserved, be prepared to pay a TON of $$ for the few that are available or stay about 60 miles away.

Los guapos no crea en tiempo malo...no tengo miedo.
tangent alert: The ThunderBoomers started one evening when the Divine MsTia and I were sitting reading in the front room. The neurotic wolfhound who hates/fears me (truth) was laying at Tia's feet. The dog usually leaves the room when I come in. That Crashing outside started rattling the roof and windows and the dog got up and slid over to my side of the room and laid down where I could reach her, just quivering,
Tia said "What in the world? you are so weird..." to the dog; then "What does that mean?" to me. I winked at Tia, scratched the poor dogs head till she stopped vibrating, and said "She thinks I'm BADDER than thunder and lightening."
If I get lazy or start hurtin again I'll look for a Thursday Flight, though.
time to revive this thread me thinks! In part because I sold the BMW 1200GS a little while back, and then did something very strange, - I bought a bike that was slower, handled less well, brakes don't work, rattles and is very noisy, - yes you guessed it I got myself a Harley! Biking friends think I am mad but despite what could be seen as bad features it does have one hell of a lot of character and just brings a smile every time I ride. Reminds me so much of my bike riding days in the 1980's, - just jeans and leather jacket and riding just for the fun of the ride rather than having to be somewhere!
Could n't go the full "hog" and get a heavy one so bought the best looking one in the range, - the 883R, which handles relatively well, - and with the Vance & Hines Short Shots sounds so sweet.

Any other Harley owners with pictures out there?
All Right Ian! Nice bike! Nothing like some American iron with the big V twin to make some noise. It will set off every car alarm within a block. Your friends may say bad things but secretly, they're envious. Classic ride for weekend sojourns.
Had one, haven't ridden in ages since it is suicidal in Southern California because the car drivers are mostly idiots.
You're going to have a blast on it.
