Topic: 50th Anniversary R9 finishes names on Musician's Friend

I was looking at some of the 50th Anniversary R9's on Musicians Friend and I can't get over this, they've got a bunch of random finishes that I've never even heard of! Did Gibson just send MF a bunch of these and give them the freedom to name them on an individual basis? Hell two of the finishes are named after alcoholic beverages!

Here's some of the stuff I'm seeing...

Cognac Burst
Faded Persimmon Burst
Atlanta Burst
Burnt Orange Teaburst
Burnt Wheat Burst (wtf?)
Faded Lemonburst (not so uncommon, but on a 50th Anniversary?)
Golden Cherryburst (with Bigsby)
Amber Honeyburst (with Bigsby)
Maple Leaf
Heritage Darkbust
Sweet Southern Teaburst
Scotch Burst
Golden Orange Teaburst

The GC site gives 2 available finished for the 50th Anniversary R9: Heritage Cherry Burst and Heritage Dark Burst

It looks to me like Gibson gave their finish-painters free reign over whatever they wanted to do or thought would look cool. Granted these guitars look amazing, but for the most part they're all just slight variations of each other.

Btw some of you will notice I posted this at the LPF as well.

Those are limited edition finishes put on the anniv. 59's.  I guess they did it for kicks, different ways of the original bursts that aged to different colors.  Pick one, what ever you like and you got an old looking 59.  Unique I guess you could say...
