There are a couple of artists that could well be of interest to the forum members who will be appearing on Bob Harris’s BBC Radio 2 show this weekend.  This is what Bob said about his session with Dave Mattthews:

We recorded an outstanding session with Dave Matthews and Tim Reynolds just before they played Brixton Academy last weekend, prior to their appearance at Hyde Park. Don't miss it. It's something special...Led Zep included.
We wanted to broadcast it early, so it's going out in the first hour on Sat 18th July.
Bex Marshall will be appearing on the same show. We'll be broadcasting her session between 1am and 2am.

That's interesting news Lynn, thanks.

I will listen out for that. I've got Bex's album Kitchen Table and I do recommend to those of you on the roostier side of the blues. I'll be seeingher next month in Edinburgh! smile

Both sessions were great especially Dave Matthews......I went to Hyde Park Calling a few weeks ago to see Bruce Springsteen, DMB were the main support act and were terrific, they finished with a great version of 'All along the watchtower/Stairway to Heaven' .....it was the first time I had ever  heard them play.....bought their new CD a couple of days later, 'Big Whiskey ..etc' which is recommended !
