Topic: Change of setup?

In the NSJ videos Joe is using three marshall half stacks..... is this a new setup or a spur of the moment festival deal? It sounds amazing either way.

Re: Change of setup?

Just a guess but I don't think the third cabinet was being used. It was a fly in show so Joe was using backline. Sometimes the stereo cabinets aren't available. I didn't look to see if the third one was mic'd but Joe is so used to having his stage sound behind the baffles I doubt he would have one unbaffled.

Re: Change of setup?

I remember for the cancelled Manchester show, due to the way it was rescheduled, Joe couldn't get his main rig from Paris (i think) to Manchester in a day so he flew in and rented two DSL 100  half stacks. Videos on youtube somewhere, i thought it sounded pretty good. Seems a couple of Marshall half stacks do in a pinch smile

Thats how I remember it went down, I apologise if i've got it wrong.

That makes sense. At the festival I saw him at here (my first Joe show) he used a borrowed CAT 5 and the Jubilee (that could have been borrowed too, but I doubt it) on two baffled half stacks. The backup stack at NSJF makes sense. Thanks.

Re: Change of setup?

My guess would be it's rented gear. From the vids I've seen he used the same JBLP the entire gig. Regardless it still it sounds like Joe! cool
