Re: Gibson Custom

Thing though with custom shop les pauls is they are better and they know it, that's why they charge so much because they know they can.

That I will totaly agree with. Pick up a "shelf" Paul and then play a VOS or Custom Shop and there is a HUGH differance even a beginner can tell. And it's not just better parts or tops. The action, intenation, neck shapes, ect. And I do believe it is to push the buyer towards the better, more exspensive lines which is sad. Still waiting on my 58 VOS Goldtop. Come on Gibson, just give me one, lmfao!

Re: Gibson Custom

It's $20,000 because of the name, plain and simple. I'm on the "I wish I could call $7,000 affordable" boat, but I don't hate Gibson for their prices. When demand shifts warrant a price shift south it'll happen, but for now Gibson is making money off their prices somehow.

If $7,000 is affordable then take that money to a luthier who will build you a guitar you can be buried with. Oh, and have them put a Brazilian board on it, those things sure are purty...

Re: Gibson Custom

It's $14,000 for signature and aged. HAHA, they left the metal parts to be aged by the owner lol
