Topic: One year for me

What can I say?? I've been taken on an unbelievable journey following the incredible artist we know as simply "Joe".

One year ago today (a week after my first Joe concert) I decided to sign up on this board just before my family left for the night to go watch Fourth of July fireworks. I put up my intro thread and left. When I came back I already had a welcome and I was immediately impressed with how friendly this forum was. I spent many hours chatting with all of you on here and getting to know Joe's story even better.

The first concert was at the Winter Park Blues From the Top festival.... it was truly life changing for me. It still seems like a dream to me. After the show I got Joe's autograph (BTW, he stole my sharpie lol). Since that first concert, I have seen Joe three more times, talked with him, and.... maybe most importantly.... learned an enormous amount from his guitar playing.

Most people would think I'm nuts to be this close of a follower of a musician, but I believe in what Joe is doing so I'm thrilled to be here with the biggest Bonamassa fans in the world. I couldn't be more proud to be a part of this group of amazing people.

So thank you Joe and thank you all on here for making me feel at home. As I've said before... I'm proud to call myself a fan of Joe Bonamassa.

Hi Eric

Know what you feel.
There's nothing like this forum on the web I've heard of.
Other sites can get real bitchy.
It's the quality of the people you know !!

I am currently sitting in the garden at 8am having just finished my first coffee and have just listened to Walk in My Shadow from the North Sea Jazz Festival from another post.
One of those "life is rich" moments.

Here's to all of us.

Funny that! I've come over from Joe's MySpace Page, and watching the video of, Walk In My Shadow, among others! Really good!

Re: One year for me

Eric,
Happy Anniversary. It's great to have you here and I think we all know exactly what you mean.
When I first came to this forum, it was comforting to know that there were other people out there that were as enthusiastic (my family calls it obsessed, LOL) about Joe and his music as I was.
This forum has seen some bumps/arguments/sniping along the way, but those have definitely been the exceptions rather than the rule. I have to agree with Ges, this forum is unique to the www.
