Topic: America has another July 4th...FIREWORKS!!!!!

This is always a special day for this Cali kid....I really appreciate the value of it with my family, both my kids are here to BBQ on the court with all the neighbors......one big party with laughter, food and fireworks again....got fantastic neighbors, who have been so incredibly kind to us from the first day we moved to this location 4 years ago....what all are your plans America for our countrys big birthday???....hey got a great chicken recipe you want to share?, looks like my wife has volunteered me AGAIN! to cook and light all the fire works for the little tikes around the neighborhood roll

Hey Dave,

The World famous Menomonee Falls 4th of July parade happens tonight followed by fireworks over the high school footbal field. People park mobile home trailors and line Appleton Avenue for the big parade. Tomorrow, two barbeque parties to attend, but probaly will only make one. Sunday, like today, I'm working. But all is good, I still have a job. smile

She's sorry that not everyone can be enjoying the same stunning weather that Maryland has been having, but nevertheless hopes that y'all, wherever you are, have a wonderful and safe 4th, and don't gross out too much with the barbie. big_smile She's off to watch fireworks tonight in Aberdeen. Happy 4th everyone!
My nephew is getting married today, a small ceremony in his in-laws back yard (gulp! the weather looks like it's gonna put a damper on things!), with a small, Fourth of July themed reception afterwards.
I'm still trying to figure out why the hometown fireworks are tomorrow night (???). Talk about your anti-climax...what Einstein decided that?

Hey Bill,

Maybe that's to offset the Falls having them last night? We always have the parade and fire works on July 4th, so I'm assuming we had the same Einstein decide that for our village.

It rained all day here... in turn we had a very short fireworks display an hour behind schedule... still a great day though.

I'll tell ya what I finally did on the 4th. Nothing! Actually, I stayed home alone with my dog Goldie. Did some odds and ends around the house, putz around on the PC and went outside throwing the ball for her. Had a beer at the neighbors with the usual bakyard converstation. Watched a movie and made my own dinner. A quiet, relaxing and resting way to spend the 4th. smile

Back at work today though..... sad

Nothing will top the night we had here on the court....went over at 6pm to eat, and noticed an amazing amount of peeps at the time close to 70....went next door to lay my head down for a couple of hours until it was time to light the fireworks and there had to be close to 150 people from all down the street...my high school neighbor who has been my right hand man lighting fireworks was floored...."We better put on a show tonight, this is crazy"....we lit fireworks for nearly 3 hours straight as people would drop off there boxes off fireworks at the set up table....2 neighbors were getting the wicks ready and we went non stop.....for the grand finally, we wired 15 large ones together and I used a propane torch to light it.....this is getting bigger each year....scary!!....next thing you know the police will be here for crowd control...my god them neighbors ponded down some alcohol, of course it was a Saturday night....never saw one in the street the next day....."Silver Patron Tequila", that will get you every time....Shreddy was high on "Yuban Coffee" roll
