Topic: First Gig

I dont know if this one's been done already but I'll ask anyway.

What was the first gig forum members ever went to?

Mine was Uriah Heep at Hammersmith Odeon in the early seventies.

Re: First Gig

Not sure if it counts as a gig but my first memory of live music as such was Hermanns Hermits in Bournemouth. Ted whatshisname, later of 'Dusty Bin' 321 fame was compare (Oh Gawd....).

If pub gigs count, then the mighty Slowbone at the Cart & Horses in Stratford E15 would be first up. I was too young to be there but that was half the fun.

Proper gigs I think was Manfred Manns Earth Band at the MileEnd Sundown. I guess very early seventies that would be. Ah yes, the smell of my Afgan coat is coming back to me now..............
