Re: Should I see Ry Cooder?

It's a great venue for Joe, no doubt! But it's one of these theaters where people tend to stay in their seats because it's 'classy'.

As for Ry Cooder, he played numerous classics like 'Vigilante Man', 'Crazy 'bout an automobile, 'The things that make you rich...', 'Little sister'...tho' virtually nothing from his most recent cd's. What can I say? I enjoyed it, it was 'nice'. Sadly, nowadays 'nice' isn't quite enough because I've been spoiled by shows that are much more than just 'nice'. Also, I thought the set was a bit on the short side at 75 mins plus an encore of barely 15 mins. I would have been pretty disappointed if I had actually paid 130 euros.

Yes, I agree that was fantastic and spellbindingly embedded into the screenplay to evoke the real atmosphere warranted.

I have to ask-Are you Kirk Fletcher? or John? or....

Thanks for reporting back George ... even though you thought it was only "nice". wink

The "Paris, Texas" soundtrack is one of my favourites as well. Especially "Dark was the night" and "Houston in two seconds", just haunting - the only one who can do this kind of thing as well is Joe IMO.... "From the Valley". smile

Yes thanks for the news George. It's Ry Cooder with Nick Lowe in Edinburgh too. Too expensive for me though!
