Topic: Joe Inspired Tone

Just thought I'd share this partial clip of me playing "Whole Lotta Love" with a tone inspired by Joe.  It could use some a little work and some tweaking but I think it's a good start.

Re: Joe Inspired Tone

Cool dude, was that the Strat and HRD with some echo?  It was a very nice and warm Strat sound.  I like how you basically played Plant's vocal melodies with the guitar too.  More clips, got anything with some humbuckers? big_smile

Well done. Sound very warm.

Re: Joe Inspired Tone

Thanks guys...

You're right SPG, that was my Strat into a HRDx with a TS808RI and a DD-3 (that's the Joe inspired part LOL).  Because the riff is based on the vocals it just didn't sound just right with the TS alone so I took a que from Joe and used the delay to add some texture.

Since I don't sing (be thankful) the song would be pretty boring with just the rhythm track so I threw that riff on top.  I need to throw together some variations to use for the other verses in the song.

I did the same with "Roadhouse Blues", I'll have to post a link when I get home, it's on my Soundclick page too.
